Paddle through one of Croatia's most breathtaking canyons on the Cetina River near Omiš. Crystal-clear turquoise water, 300-metre limestone walls and Grade 2–3 rapids — just 30 minutes from Split.
The Cetina is the perfect Croatian river — accessible from Split in just 30 minutes, yet the moment you enter the canyon, you feel completely removed from civilisation. The water runs impossibly clear — blue-green where it's shallow, deep turquoise in the pools — fed by underground springs from the Dalmatian hinterland.
The rafting section begins near Omiš, where the Cetina meets the Adriatic, and runs upstream through the canyon. Grade 2 sections alternate with Grade 3 rapids — enough action to get your heart pumping, but perfectly manageable for first-time rafters and families with children aged 8 and above.
Between rapids, your guide will point out the canyon's remarkable geology — 300-metre walls of Dalmatian limestone, formed over millions of years, now home to rare birds and a handful of medieval fortresses perched above.
