The road from Split to Dubrovnik follows the Adriatic coast almost continuously for 230km — past the resort towns of the Makarska Riviera, the wine and oyster port of Ston at the base of Pelješac, through the Neum corridor (a short stretch of Bosnian coastline that Croatian drivers cross routinely), and into the Bay of Kotor approach above Dubrovnik. It's one of the genuinely great coastal drives in Europe, and a private transfer lets you enjoy it properly.
The route passes through the Neum corridor — a 9km stretch of Bosnian coastline that creates Croatia's only land border interruption. Croatian and EU passport holders pass quickly through both border crossings (typically 5–10 minutes total). Non-EU passport holders should check current visa requirements for Bosnia. The new Pelješac Bridge (opened 2022) now bypasses Neum entirely — we use whichever route best suits your timing and preference.
Optional stops along the route can be arranged at extra time but no extra charge: the Makarska Riviera for a coastal walk or lunch (1 hour), the town of Ston and the longest defensive walls in Europe after the Great Wall of China (45 minutes + possible oyster tasting), or Pelješac for a quick winery visit.
