Split's position on the Dalmatian coast gives kayakers some of the richest water in Croatia — island chains just offshore, dramatic sea cliffs, hidden coves and the silhouette of Diocletian's Palace visible from the water.
Kayaking from Split opens up a stretch of the Adriatic that's genuinely spectacular. Head south along the coast and within minutes you're passing beneath limestone cliffs that plunge straight into the sea — riddled with small sea caves and arches that you can paddle directly through.
Our guided kayak tours from Split take you along the Marjan Peninsula, into the sea caves beneath its cliffs, and out towards the clear channels between Split and the island of Šolta. On clear days — which in Dalmatia is most days between May and September — visibility underwater can reach 30 metres or more.
We also offer longer tours that paddle out to Brač Island, Croatia's third-largest island, visible from Split's seafront. The crossing takes around 45 minutes in a sea kayak and offers extraordinary open-water views across the Adriatic. Pair your paddle with a Cetina River rafting trip for a full day of water-based adventure near Split.
