Paddling around Dubrovnik's 16th-century city walls at sunrise is one of Croatia's most iconic experiences. The water is perfectly calm in the early morning, the walls glow golden, and you'll have the entire Adriatic — and all of old Dubrovnik — almost entirely to yourself.
There's a reason the Dubrovnik sea kayak tour consistently appears on lists of Europe's best travel experiences. Seen from the water level, the scale and beauty of Dubrovnik's medieval walls is simply astonishing — 25 metres tall, hugging the coastline for nearly 2 kilometres, built to last forever. And from a kayak, you get to glide silently right alongside them.
Our most popular departure is the sunrise tour, leaving from Banje Beach just before dawn. The sea is glassy and calm, the city lights are still reflected in the water, and as the sun crests the mountains behind Dubrovnik, the limestone walls turn from grey to gold to white. It lasts about 2.5 hours and is without question the best way to start a day in Dubrovnik.
We also offer afternoon tours that include paddling through the sea cave at Betina Cave, around the little island of Lokrum and into a series of hidden rock coves below the walls. Perfect when combined with a Game of Thrones walking tour later in the day.
